Official layer detailing parkland and greenspace owned and managed by the City of Atlanta Department of Parks & Recreation (DPR). Park History fields are sourced from Every Park Tells a Story: City of Atlanta Parks Historic Resource Survey (New South Associates for the City of Atlanta DCP, DPR, and Georgia HPD, 2020; Vols. 1-3), City of Atlanta Final Action Legislation, and the City's official List of Parks. Dated events are stored in the related table Park_History_Events (GlobalID → ParkGlobalID). Recreation Amenities (added 9/29/2026). The AMN_ fields count the recreation amenities recorded at each park in the DPR Recreation Amenities Inventory (playgrounds, courts, fields, pools, splashpads, recreation centers and gyms, golf, dog parks, fitness areas, community gardens, amphitheaters, public art, restrooms, and concessions), matched on Park ID. AMN_TOTAL sums the counts, AMN_SUMMARY lists them, and AMN_UPDATED records the load date. A 0 means no amenities are recorded in the inventory. Land Records (added 10/6/2026). Acquisition Date, Acquired From, Acquisition Purpose, Deed Book/Page, Tax Parcel IDs, Ownership Status, Non-City Owners, Public Access, and Land Component Count/Types are rolled up from the parcel-level DPR Inventory Components layer, which complements this park-level layer; GIS Acres is the mapped polygon area. Addresses, council district, NPU, ZIP, and neighborhood were intentionally not taken from tax parcels.
